A wedding is a day... a marriage is a lifetime!

Keith and Nancy Ruska
Since 1984, Keith and Nancy Ruska have ministered with the Assemblies of God Marriage Encounter, serving on the national board for eight years. With more than 20 years experience of helping over 3,000 couples strengthen their marriages through improved communication skills, they were asked by a local pastor to broaden the base of their ministry to include newlyweds (3 months or less), engaged couples and those couples thinking of becoming engaged. As a result, they have worked with pastors of several churches throughout the Rogue Valley to build a weekend retreat—now known as Newlywed/Engaged Encounter—designed to help couples of all ages build their future marriages on solid and creative communication skills.

Keith and Nancy have been married for more than 43 years and are the proud parents of three grown daughters. They retired early from their careers in education to follow their passion of helping couples build strong marriage relationships. Keith and Nancy can be contacted via ruskas@newlywed-engagedencounter.org.

Andrew and Kimberly Fashing
Andrew and Kimberly Fashing have a unique understanding of the marriage relationship, and are committed to serving others interested in a solid beginning. After walking through many marriage trials of their own, Andrew and Kimberly realized they could help others avoid some of the struggles they experienced. The Fashings currently work with Marriage Encounter and are very active with Newlywed/Engaged Encounter (NEE). They serve as presenters for NEE weekends and as contact couple. Andrew and Kimberly are also mentors for couples interested in continuing to learn relationship tools after their NEE weekend.

Andrew and Kimberly have been married for 18 years and have two children. They currently live in Oregon and enjoy horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. The Fashings strongly encourage any couple considering marriage to attend a NEE weekend to gain valuable tools in preparation for marriage. Andrew and Kimberly can be contacted via fashings@newlywed-engagedencounter.org.

Keith and Becky Brown
Keith & Becky Brown began ministering with Assemblies of God Marriage Encounter in 1994. They have helped with many aspects of Marriage Encounter weekends. They enjoy ministering to couples and helping them learn some great communication skills that can help strengthen their marriages. Helping couples to realize the importance of these skills early in a marriage (or even before marriage) was a very exciting concept to Keith and Becky and they have been blessed to present for Engaged Encounter for the past 6 years. They love to share their own stories about the engaged and newlywed relationship, in order to help other couples.

Keith and Becky have been married for 20 years and have three teenage daughters. They love camping and riding four wheelers. They are also very active with the youth group at their home church. Keith & Becky know the benefits of a newlywed/engaged encounter and encourage all couples thinking about marriage (or who are in a new marriage) to attend a Engaged Encounter weekend. Keith and Becky can be contacted via browns@newlywed-engagedencounter.org.

Dan and Danielle Fear
Dan and Danielle Fear have shared their marital experiences and insight through Newlywed/Engaged Encounter since 1998. Although, like most couples, they have faced a number of trials and stresses, they have been blessed by God with a strong and vibrant marriage relationship. They are excited to be able to share with other couples how God can help them start out their marriage on the right foot, and firmly believe the insight and communication skills couples learn in Newlywed/Engaged Encounter will help them develop a lifetime relationship that will grow in love and commitment.

Dan and Danielle have been married for 23 years and have three children. They live in southern Oregon and enjoy hiking, camping, raising goats, and spending time together as a family. Dan and Danielle can be contacted via fears@newlywed-engagedencounter.org.

As a pastor, Ron has seen the long-term effects of this important ministry, so the Marsh's strongly encourage all engaged or newly married couples to attend Newlywed/Engaged Encounter.
